I used to dine at this place a lot, but I think the standard dropped. I had a portion of sate and the food was not warm. The meat was bit fatty and hard. The price of sate here...is quite expensive, so I did not expect this quality. Quite dissapointing. I knew that they even opened a new branch in Bali, but the review there was not great either. Both continued to stay heated by small pieces of burning charcoal after they were served. Cumi bakar squid...satay was nicely done although not as richly spiced as the chicken. Kangkung was just ok, decent but average. Staff were friendly and attentive we went after peak hour though. Toilets were also relatively clean though small. Drinks were slightly disappointing though. The avocado juice was way too artificially sweet and the young coconut, while really young and soft, had barely any flesh in it thick?. Sate Khas has many different types of satay with unusual sauces not the normal peanut sauce. I very much enjoyed the satay and would come back to try different types. We...also had other items but they weren't nearly as good. We ordered one dish but cancelled as they hadn't brought it when we were finished, but they charged us anyway they took it off the bill when we complained.
